Delicious strawberry and cream rolls made with a rich dough filled with strawberry jam and topped with a cream cheese frosting. Perfect for a cozy brunch or as a sweet treat.
In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add remaining dough ingredients and mix, kneading for 8–10 minutes until smooth and tacky.
Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot until doubled, about 1½–2 hours.
Roll dough on a floured surface into a 12×24-inch rectangle.
Spread soft butter evenly then spread strawberry jam on top of it.
Roll up tightly and cut into 12 even size pieces.
Place rolls in a 9x13 inch pan. Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm place to rise for 1 more hour.
Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 30 minutes (check at 20 minute mark).
Pull rolls out when they are still light but starting to get golden.
While rolls bake, make frosting by combining cream cheese, salt, vanilla, and powdered sugar in a stand mixer until well combined.
Add frosting to a piping bag and place back in fridge.
Once rolls are out of the oven and completely cooled, frost as desired.
